An alien on an H-1B status can obtain either full time or part time employment with another employer. He/she can thus work simultaneously for both employers. This is referred to as “Concurrent Employment”. To obtain concurrent employment, the second employer must file an H-1B Petition for the alien. Such petitions are not counted against the H-1B numerical limitation. One can begin employment with the second employer upon filing of the H-1B Petition. |
